Ramiro Torres (Perú)
Juan Ramiro Torres was born in Lima, Peru in 1965 and emigrated to the United States in 1984. In 1991 graduated from the Parsons School of Design and has since worked as Art Director for many newspapers and magazines in several states (Dominican Times News, Somos, Noticiero Dominicano, El Faro, Arriba Ecuador, El Observador, Campana, El Mejor Camino, El Nuevo Milenio, El Amauta, El Especial, Latin Sports, Salud y El Expreso en New Jersey; El Globo, The Latin Times y la revista La Voz del Periodista en New York; La Razón y El Torero en Pennsylvania, y Punto Hispano en Georgia). He also collaborated between 1998 and 2008 for the Central agency Prensa Hispana .
In 2008 he decided to devote himself to painting professionally and also of great masters like Jesus Rivera ( Cuba ) and Omiros (Greek ) acquires the knowledge and skills that later would lead him to develop his own style .
His works have been exhibited in Peru , Bolivia , Dominican Republic , Puerto Rico , Colombia , New Zealand, Italy and in major concert halls in the United States, as the United Nations , Queens Museum of Art , New Jersey Performing Art Center ( NJPAC ) , MasterCard international Headquarters, international Immigrant Foundation, Pace University, New Jersey City University, Penn State University, General Consulate of Ecuador in New Jersey and Union City Museum of Art . He has also participated in international events such as Mayfair, in Pennsylvania and Scope International Contemporary Art Show in Miami. In June 2014 his works were shown in Times Square ( NYC) as part of a great collective artistic event .
The quality of his work led him to win many awards and some of his works are already part of public and private collections in the United States and other countries.

He has also been responsible for curating exhibits that have been made in (for ) : MasterCard International Headquarters , Paterson Art Walk, Association Barranquiteños Newark Ecuadorian Consulate of New Jersey, the cities of Union City , West New York and New York City.
